Internationally acclaimed pianist, Yoko Kikuchi is regularly invited to perform as a soloist and chamber musician.

She is a prizewinner at numerous international piano competitions, and takes part in many national and international events, particularly in chamber music.

Passionate about teaching, Yoko Kikuchi has been a piano teacher at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles since 1992. She has trained numerous winners of international competitions, thanks to her expertise as a soloist, chamber musician and coach.

Yoko Kikuchi has a diploma in Energy Coaching and Personal Development: certified by BAO-Elan-Vital, Belgium.

Her energy coaching skills have been adapted and applied to musical pedagogy.

It was in Italy in 2023 that, as a coach, she took part in a masterclass dedicated to piano improvisation and focused on releasing bodily tension. This enriching experience enabled her to reinforce her teaching method based on intuitive listening.

Yoko Kikuchi has developed a teaching philosophy through a new concept she has created, ‘InnerMusic’, which fuses music and body release techniques, encouraging intuitive listening and a deep connection between the instruments and the performer.

‘InnerMusic’ is a unique approach that combines music and personal development through body liberation and listening to sound.

Yoko Kikuchi organises events that combine music and meditation, such as the ‘Waraku’ concerts. Using creative synaesthesia, she also integrates performances in collaboration with visual artists in projects such as ‘Hear and Draw’, dedicated to self-emancipation through art and music.
