A native of South Korea, violinist Yeon-Kyung Joo ,selected as an artist of Seoul Arts Center in 2013, has excited audiences both at home and abroad. As an accomplished soloist, chamber musician, and music director; Ms. Joo is recognized as a virtuoso with an understanding of music that has matured beyond her years. She has appeared in concert venues in Korea, Japan, and in USA.

 

As avid chamber musician and a soloist, Starting with Korea Times competition at age 7, Ms.Joo won the ArtSylvia audition and has been supported by the management for one year, and also was invited to Seoul Spring Chamber music Festival and House concerts by Park Chang Soo. Ms. Joo is Gold medalist of the Strad Magazine competition ,1st prize winner of the Mid Texas Young Artist competition , 3rd prize winner of Arthur Balsam Duo Competition, winner of JM Audition for Young Artists, Chun-chu Competition, and KumHo Young Artist Audition.
