First prize in violin and chamber music at Paris Superior National Conservatory – CNSMD (class G. Poulet and P. Nérini), Philippe Lindecker also studied organ with Gaston Litaize at Saint-Maur National Conservatory.
He then improved with prestigious artists such as Tibor Varga and Nathan Milstein. Accomplished chamber musician, he won the international string quartet competitions in Evian and Florence (Italy).
Passionate about chamber music, he founded in 1989 the Florestan Quartet with whom he gives numerous concerts around the world .
Philippe Lindecker is violin Professor at Strasbourg Superior Music Conservatory – “Pôle supérieur de Musique”.
