Chamber cello player, solist and teacher, Juliette Salmona has been part of Zaïde Quatuor since 2009 and teaches at Regional Conservatory of Paris since 2016. She performs on the world’s greatest venues (The Philharmonie de Paris, Wiener Musikverein, The Berliner Philharmonie, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing, The Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, Wigmore Hall of London, Barbican Hall of London, The Kölner Philharmonie, Jordan Hall in Boston, Merkin Hall of New York, Teotro Colón Bogota, The Stockholm Concert Hall), and she is prizewinner of numerous international

competitions (special prize at ARD International Music Competition for string quartet 2012 in Munich, first prize at Joseph Haydn chamber music competition in Vienna in 2021, first prize of string quartet competition at BMJC Beijing International Chamber Music Competition in 2011, first prize of Heerleen chamber music competition in 2010, press prize at the Bordeaux string quartet competition Bordeaux string quartet competition in 2010).

Juliette has performed chamber music with Martha Argerich, Bertrand Chamayou, Nelson Goerner, Beatrice Rana, Lise de la Salle, Camille Thomas, Nicolas Alstaedt, Xavier Philipps, Antoine Tamestit, Lise Bertaud, Karine Deshayes, and many other musicians for which she holds a great esteem.

She has recorded seven string quartet albums for NoMadMusic, a duo album with guitarist Benjamin Valette for AdVitam, and a duo album with pianist Katherine Nikitine for Hortus. She studied cello with Marcel Bardon and Jean-Marie Gamard, then chamber music with Hatto Beyerle and Johannes Meissl.

Today, Juliette plays a magnificent 1876 cello by Claude-Augustin Miremont.
