Fabian Hinsche currently teaches Guitar at the University of the Arts (Hochschule für Künste) in Bremen – Germany, and is also teaching guitar classes at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin and the Institute of Music at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.

He has received first prizes and other awards at more than 10 competitions throughout Europe, including renowned competitions in Spain, Italy, Greece, and Germany.

International concert appearances as a soloist, in the Mare Duo, and in various ensemble combinations guided him throughout Europe, Asia, and North and South America.

As a soloist and as part of the Mare Duo he is the dedicatee of numerous compositions by well-known composers, among them C. Domeniconi, J. Zenamon, K. Vassiliev, J. Kindle, L. Wüller, T. A. LeVines, F. A. Wallace, Oleg Boyko or M. Borner.

Fabian Hinsche has recorded a number of solo and chamber music CDs for renowned labels like NAXOS. He appeared on broadcast recordings in Germany, Austria, Denmark and Russia.

He earned a Dr. phil. in media cultural analysis on the topic of “The aesthetics of musical interpretation” and is editor of the EGTA journal Die neue Gitarrenzeitschrift.

Fabian Hinsche lectures and publishes on topics related to history, the guitar or aesthetics and has edited numerous editions of sheet music for various publishers.

He studied guitar with with Prof. Alfred Eickholt, Prof. Carlo Marchione and Prof. Hubert Käppel.
