Elizabeth Vidal (coloratura soprano) and André Cognet (bass baritone) have traveled through the world and performed on the greatest opera stages : Arena di Verona, Convent Garden London, Accademia Santa Cecilia and Roma Opera, Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Spoleto, Lincoln Center in New York, Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chili, Hong Kong or Tokyo under the baton of the finest chefs such as Michel Plasson, Serge Baudo, Semyon Bychkov, Nello Santi, Alain Lombard, Daniel Oren, Sir Neville Marriner, Sir Charles Mackerras, Giuliano Carella…

They starred in leading roles in their respective tessituras, such as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Lakmé by Léo Delibes, Zerbinette in Ariane à Naxos for Elizabeth, Escamillo in Carmen, Hamlet by Ambroise Thomas, Mephisto in Faust for André, and Verdi’s Requiem in oratorio.

With a passion for pedagogy, in addition to positions as professors at Rueil-Malmaison and Nice’s Regional Conservatories, they have been the only French coaches in vocal techniques at Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow since 2010.

With the aim of helping the younger generation of singers, they have created a number of structures to facilitate the professionalization of talent, including the Centre d’Art Lyrique de la Méditerranée (CALM), which has been accredited by the national quality standard Qualiopi and supported by the French government, France-Travail and Afdas as part of the French Skills Investment Plan.

Elizabeth is the long-standing juror on France 2’s singing show Prodiges.
