At the age of five, Christian Styma began playing the violin with Eberhardt Riese in Hann. Münden. At the age of 11 he was admitted as a young student, received the Förderpreis of the Peredur Foundation and studied in Kassel, Detmold, Hannover and Essen with Ulf Schneider, Ion Tanase and most recently Pieter Daniel.
He received further important impulses from Ljerko Spiller and Saschko Gawriloff.
Christian Styma made his solo debut with the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra at the age of thirteen.
During his studies he was under contract with the Bochum Symphony Orchestra for 2 years. Christian Styma has been teaching at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen since 2016 and has his own violin class there.
