The opening of brass classes at Musicalta Academy in 2017 was a great success. During this new season, 2 trumpet classes will be opened during the 2nd session of the course.

A class led by Pierre Dutot, already present in 2017, renowned musician and professor at the CNSMD of Lyon. The 2nd trumpet class will be led by the no less talented René-Gilles Rousselot, principal trumpet of the Orchestre National du Capitole in Toulouse and professor at the CRR and ISDAT – Pôle d’enseignement supérieur de musique de Toulouse.

Classes are open to all trumpet players who wish to improve their skills, no minimum level or prior audition is required. Piano accompanists are available for students (singers and instrumentalists).

The trumpet students are welcomed to vocal workshops and choral singing every day throughout the session, at the end of which a concert is planned as part of the Musicalta Festival. The Festival Academy Choir brings together students around large-scale artistic projects: the great works of the repertoire as well as rarer and lesser-known works for choir and chamber orchestra are on the program.
