Since 1996, Musicalta is an international meeting place for music lovers and musicians from all over the world. It has become an unavoidable event on the Alsatian territory of the Pays de Rouffach Vignobles et Châteaux.

In the heart of the Alsatian vineyard, it is outside the large urban centers where such an event usually finds its place that the event shines.

If Musicalta’s development calls for a faithful commitment from public funders, it is also thanks to the determination of private partners and patrons – companies and individuals – that the event continues to live on the territory at this level of requirement.

To excellence, we wished to associate passion by proposing concerts of the Festival on all the territory with a will to address us to all the public. Thus, the Festival moves from Rouffach and Eguisheim through Pfaffenheim and Gueberschwihr and also offers many free concerts.
Churches, concert halls, cellars and also mediatheques, hospitals and old people’s homes resound so that all the public can gather to listen to the artists of the different Musicalta stages.

Through the Musicalta Academy, we put transmission at the heart of the event by welcoming each year several hundred students from all over the world and by providing scholarships for young musicians without resources.

The democratization of access to Musicalta, the ever-renewed youth of our audiences and the artistic requirement testify to the shared passion for music.

As long as Musicalta lives, music will never be a cultural exception on the territory: it will be expressed in all its forms and for everyone.
