Since 1996, Musicalta has developed an international summer music academy in the heart of Alsace.
Far from the cities, each summer, this unmissable event transforms an entire territory into a real campus.
In 2016, a second project was created with the Spring master classes, thus offering students the opportunity to improve their skills at a time of the year when the stakes are high for them. Created in Lyon, the Printemps Musical master classes are set up in Chatou, on the outskirts of Paris in 2022.

The history
of our music
workshops
The first music workshop took place during the summer vacations in 1994 in the heart of the Alsatian Vosges and only concerned the violin. In 1995, a chamber music class was added, we are at the beginning of a great project.
The name Musicalta appears in 1996; it gathers a music academy and a festival with the intention of proposing a project of musical excellence in rural areas.
Due to the high demand, the music course quickly grew, as did the festival, whose attendance continued to increase. This is the reason why Musicalta moves to the city of Rouffach in the heart of Alsace.
The music workshop finds the means and structures adapted to receive students and audiences in ideal conditions. Since 2001, the campus, located in a large park on the edge of the city near the vineyards, offers to all the students, professors and artists participating in the music workshop an environment perfectly adapted to work and concentration.
Renowned today internationally for its artistic project and its exceptional openness, Musicalta creates in 2016 a second workshop in urban environment: the Musical Spring Master Classes. Created in Lyon, the Printemps Musical master classes are set up in Chatou, on the outskirts of Paris in 2022. It is on the edge of the Seine, at the conservatory of Chatou in the Hal Singers space, in the heart of the city, that we install the master classes in new buildings offering unique work spaces to the students.
