Graduated from National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Lyon, Iris Daverio has been appointed first solo flute at The Paris Opera Orchestra, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, in 2023.
After she trained with Frédéric Chatoux at Paris Regional Conservatory for several years, Iris Daverio was the first to be appointed to the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Lyon in 2019 where she studied for five years in the classes of Julien Beaudiment, Emmanuelle Réville and Gilles Cottin for a Bachelor’s degree and then a Master’s degree, and participated in several projects with the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester Youth Orchestra as principal flute.
Alongside her career as an orchestral performer, Iris Daverio appears on the French festival scene and worldwide, as a soloist and chamber musician, notably with the Ensemble Daphnis, of which she is co-founder.
This season (2024/2025), she will make her solo debut in Italy, Japan, Paris with the Orchestre Colonna at Salle Gaveau, at the Sainte Chapelle and in Montenegro with the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Marc Korovitch.
Her debut album “D’un matin de printemps”, currently in development, will be released by Oktav Records in spring 2026.
Iris is co-founder and co-artistic director of the Festival Daphnis.
